Getu Jemaneh 's journey in the world of finance is a tapestry woven with experience, leadership, and a passion for empowering businesses. His story begins in the halls of Addis Ababa University, where for thirteen years he ignited a spark of financial knowledge in countless students. Getu's dedication extended beyond the classroom, leading him to head the Department of Accounting and Finance, shaping future generations of financial leaders.

In late 2004, Getu embarked on a new chapter, joining HST. Here, he donned many hats – accountant, external auditor, financial and tax consultant, and trainer. His expertise blossomed, encompassing tax compliance and planning across diverse industries – from the intricate workings of financial institutions to the dynamic pulse of commercial enterprises, manufacturers, and energy sectors. Even the complexities of non-governmental and trading companies held no challenge for him.

Getu's leadership qualities soon shone through. His rise within HST culminated in a partnership in 2008. But his influence extended beyond the firm's walls.He served on the government's National Steering Committee, shaping the Ethiopian Financial Reporting Law. He also lent his expertise as Vice President of the Accounting Society of Ethiopia and remains a prominent figure in professional associations.

Getu's commitment to excellence is reflected in his credentials. A Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant, he holds a degree in Accounting from Addis Ababa University and a specialist diploma in International Financial Reporting. Apart from being a Fellow of ACCA, he served as the Ethiopia ACCA Panel member from 2017 to 2018 (two years) as vice chair of the Panel and from 2019 to 2020 (two years) as Chair of the Panel and International Delegate (IA) of Ethiopia at ACCA.

Today, Getu stands as the Senior Partner of HST, leading the firm's tax advisory and business support services. His guidance goes beyond numbers – it's about empowering clients to navigate the ever-evolving financial landscape with clarity and confidence.
